丁林,男,1965年生,籍贯安徽萧县,研究员,2017年当选中国科学院院士。 1988年于北京大学获构造与地质力学专业学士学位。1991年于中国科学院地质所获构造地质学专业硕士学位。1999年于中国科学院地质所获构造地质学专业理学博士学位。1995年在中国科学院地质所任副研究员,2003年在中国科学院青藏所任研究员。现任中国科学院青藏所研究员,中国科学院大学教授,中国科学院青藏高原研究所学位委员会副主任,中国科学院大陆碰撞与高原隆升重点实验室主任。西藏大学兼职教授,美国亚利桑那大学地质系Adjunct Professor。中国地质学会理事会理事,青藏高原研究会副秘书长,地质学会构造地质与地球动力学委员会副主任。曾获首届(1995年)青藏高原青年科技奖,2006年获国家杰出青年科学基金,2010年获国土资源部科学技术一等奖,2012年获国土资源部“青藏高原地质理论创新与找矿重大突破先进个人”称号。中国科学院“百人工程”获得者,入选“百千万”人才工程国家级专家(2007),享受政府特殊津贴(2009)。截至2017年发表相关论文190篇,SCI他引5500次。中国科学,岩石学报,地质科学、岩石与矿物学杂志编委。曾经承担了国家973、863、国家重点研发计划,国家自然科学基金重大项目(2015年)及中国科学院战略性先导科技专项(B类)等多项科研项目。 研究方向为构造地质学,主要从事青藏高原研究,在大陆碰撞、大陆俯冲、高原隆升领域做出了系统的创新成果。 发现了雅鲁藏布江缝合带碰撞前陆盆地系统,提出了印度大陆与欧亚大陆碰撞时间和方式的新认识。印度与欧亚大陆的碰撞时间是青藏高原研究重大科学问题,普遍认为碰撞时间为5000万年,但一直没有发现周缘前陆盆地这一关键碰撞证据。丁林与其团队通过近20年的综合研究,率先发现了雅鲁藏布江缝合带大型碰撞周缘前陆盆地的存在;确定了欧亚大陆物质搬运到印度大陆之上及碰撞构造变形的最早时间为6500-6300万年;通过巴基斯坦及东侧印缅地区碰撞时间的横向对比研究,提出了印度与欧亚大陆于6500万年首先在中部发生初始碰撞,随后新特提斯洋向两侧逐渐封闭,于5000万年前全面碰撞的新模式。 揭示了碰撞后高原深部由大洋岩石圈俯冲向大陆岩石圈俯冲的转换,建立了高原大陆岩石圈双向俯冲的岩石大地构造模型。大陆岩石圈深俯冲是碰撞后继大洋岩石圈俯冲发生在地球碰撞造山带的重大事件。丁林与其团队提出碰撞后高原下部发生了从大洋岩石圈到大陆岩石圈俯冲的转换,藏南钾质火山岩是印度大陆岩石圈俯冲相关产物,而不是国际上普遍认为的与大陆岩石圈俯冲无关,是古老富集岩石圈拆沉后熔融的产物。提出高原核心地带发育一个同时期钠质钙碱性火山岩带,分隔上述南北2个钾质火山岩带,它没有受到大陆岩石圈俯冲的影响,由此建立了印度与欧亚大陆岩石圈在高原南北双向俯冲的岩石大地构造模型。 定量恢复了冈底斯山和喜马拉雅山的隆升历史。青藏高原隆升历史是国际地学界关注的热点和难题。丁林与其团队提出介形虫原位氧同位素检验成岩作用的新技术方案,揭示了冈底斯山于5600万年已隆升到4500m以上,而不是前人认为的1500万年。综合利用植物化石热焓、氧同位素等方法,构建了喜马拉雅山隆升的基本过程:喜马拉雅山地区在6500万年还处于海平面之下,此后缓慢隆升,5600万年研究地区达到~1000m,这与棕榈、桉树、榕树植物化石所反映的低海拔环境一致,2400-2200万年高度为2300m,此后快速抬升,于1500万年超过5000m。2400万年以来高原变得越来越干旱寒冷,而喜马拉雅以南的降水量自5600万年以来变化不明显。
